Georgia Injury Attorneys was honored to join Founder and Executive Director Rassalyn Rawls-Uter and the Motherless Daughters Foundation this weekend for a beautiful celebration of the 96th birthday of civil rights icon—and the Foundation’s Honorary Mother—Xernona Clayton. The Foundation’s mission of mentoring, developing and creating opportunities for young people is one our firm has proudly supported over the years, from Managing Partner Attorney Jamie Cox Poe speaking to its young audience to our role in honoring Ms. Clayton with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 14th Annual RICE Awards in 2024, which Jamie personally presented. This weekend, Chairman Attorney Brian Atty Brian Poe and Attorney Cox Poe were especially moved to see so many children in the room—not simply to celebrate history, but to sit in the presence of it and be inspired by a woman whose grace, dignity, perseverance, kindness and lifetime of service continue to inspire us all. We salute Rassalyn and the Motherless Daughters Foundation for understanding that one of the greatest investments we can make in the next generation is placing young people in the presence of extraordinary examples—and for Georgia Injury Attorneys, supporting those moments is a meaningful part of what community engagement is all about.

Friday afternoon, we pulled together one of those wonderful last-minute gatherings at Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours to celebrate the recent summer birthdays of two people very near and dear to our Georgia Injury Attorneys family— Jimmy Witherspoon Jr and Dr. Janita Poe. It was truly impromptu, but somehow some good friends, plenty of laughter, great food and a whole lot of love found their way into the room. What made the afternoon especially meaningful was seeing friends who have shared so many seasons of life together simply enjoying one another again. As the years go by, you realize more and more that good friends—and the time we make to celebrate them—are among life’s greatest gifts.

A setback can interrupt your life, but it does not have to define what comes next. After a serious accident, people can suddenly find themselves dealing with pain, missed work, medical appointments, mounting bills, and questions they never expected to face. In those moments, simply getting life back on track can feel like a long way off.

But little by little, things can change. Treatment begins to help. Answers start coming. The pressure becomes more manageable. And with the right support, what once felt overwhelming can begin to feel like something you can overcome. That is what a comeback often looks like—not one dramatic moment, but the steady process of rebuilding, recovering, and finding your footing again.

Have you or someone close to you ever experienced a setback that ultimately led to a stronger comeback? Share your story below. Your experience may encourage someone who is still in the middle of theirs. If you have been hurt in an accident, call Georgia Injury Attorneys at (404) 880-3318.

Earlier this month, our Director of Community Engagement, LeAnn Foster, reached a tremendous milestone—taking the TEDxAlabaster stage for her very first TEDx Talk, “How Adding Value to Others Adds Value to You.” And we could not be more excited for her.

LeAnn has worked with Attorneys Brian Poe and Jamie Cox Poe of Georgia Injury Attorneys for years in a consulting role, bringing to our firm the very philosophy she shares in this talk: value people genuinely, build authentic relationships, recognize what others bring to the table, and understand that when you consistently pour something meaningful into people, that value has a remarkable way of coming back. That is not simply something LeAnn talks about. It is what she does. It is one of the biggest reasons we wanted her working alongside us in the first place, and we have had a front-row seat to seeing just how powerful her approach can be. Her formula is authentic, intentional, tried and true—and Georgia Injury Attorneys can enthusiastically attest to this: it works.

LeAnn, we are incredibly proud of you, proud of what you continue to accomplish, and genuinely proud of our relationship with you. Seeing you carry this message onto a TEDx stage was special—and very well deserved. Congratulations! https://youtu.be/-f7evD_gh34?si=NIEBWUqrxLQC6Sj0

Recognizing dangerous driving behavior may help you avoid a serious collision.

Watch for drivers who are:
- Weaving between lanes
- Driving significantly below or above the speed limit
- Braking erratically
- Drifting onto the shoulder
- Making unusually wide turns
- Ignoring traffic signals

If you believe someone is driving impaired:
- Keep a safe distance.
- Do not attempt to stop them.
- Pull over safely if necessary.
- Report dangerous driving to local law enforcement when it is safe to do so.

Your awareness could help prevent a tragedy.
