Justice delivered in Chatham County.
I had the privilege of representing a hardworking woman who demonstrated great faith and persistence in her claim against the Georgia Ports Authority. She trusted our team, the process, the jury trial system and ultimately, a jury of her peers. We had a fantastic Judge, who was even-handed in his rulings and fair throughout the trial. The jury was remarkably attentive, diligent in combing through the evidence and not shy about asking questions. Opposing counsel was extremely capable and advocated for their client in an adversarial but professional way, as the system not only allows, but requires. Our client is a deserving lifelong resident of Georgia- and she is ecstatic.
A huge thanks to our team from me and my co-counsel, Leitra Young Maxwell, without whom none of this could happen: Amanda Chapman, Marvetta Holmes, Audrey Perryman and everyone else at Forrest B. Johnson & Associates who pitched in to help.
