1. Show up confidently: The front door is still open. Present your skills and potential without hesitation.
2. Do your homework: Research past contracts, analyze agency budgets, and submit open records requests early to forecast needs.
3. Always ask why: If you lose a bid, request a debriefing so you can learn, adapt, and win the next one. Prepare. Don't give up.

The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County has developed a long-term relationship with Griffin & Strong. Michelle Lane, Deputy Finance Director with the Metro Nashville Finance Department, recalled the disparity studies conducted by Griffin & Strong, including statistical analyses, anecdotal research, and policy and legal reviews.

Griffin & Strong previously performed a Minority Enterprise Growth and Needs Study, which took a grassroots, boots on the ground assessment of minority and small businesses, deep-diving into the specific needs of businesses domiciled in Davidson County.
