I closed 6 cases today 🙌🏾 and reminisced with clients about their journeys to a new chapter now. I spoke to new clients about what their life will look like after divorce. Everyone in different seasons of life 💐

But these balanced days for me are rare as I am often in Court but right now, I have no trials in sight and I’m enjoying it 😌🙏🏾

On average, I’m in court 3x a month so restful seasons like this, I’m grateful. God always sets the pace, and I follow.

Trial is nothing to play with! You wouldn’t try do to surgery on yourself, so why would you try to represent yourself in the court of law?

Trial is a ONE shot type of thing. You don’t get a SECOND bite at the apple 🍎

Once the judge rules, that’s it! The order is locked in. And trying to fix a mistake is much harder than hiring a lawyer to represent you the correct way the first time.

One hearing down, three more to go in the next week. 💪🏾

This is a busy season but God is carrying me through it.

Thankful to my amazing team I’ve been able to adequately prep for all four cases at one time, still handle consultations with potential clients, and serve current clients all without missing a beat.

It’s been late nights and 12 hour days but I’m enjoying the busy season because that means a restful one will follow.

“There’s no winning in family” which is what I always say but sometimes there is a win 🏆 and today my client got the alimony she deserved! Lifetime alimony $2300 so she can continue to support herself post marriage. 🙏🏾🥂🙌🏾

This was a necessity so she would not become destitute post divorce! The opposing side would not agree. The original offer included no alimony because my client was ready to be done and move on.

Then a fight came in her and I said I’m ready when you are, let’s go! We came, we argued, we presented our evidence, of course we prayed — duh, and the judge’s order and award was EXACTLY what we asked for 💯
