Aldriene Puno is a J-1 teacher from the Philippines. For one of his cultural activities, he introduced his students to food, culture, and Tagalog phrases from his home. Students also got to play Agawang Panyo (the handkerchief game). His school even featured his event on their website!

Happy Halloween!

This spooky holiday dates back to more than 2,000 years ago when October 31 was believed to mark the transition between a warm summer and cold winter. Today, the celebration of Halloween has turned into a time of fun for individuals of all ages. Common activities include trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins, dressing up in costumes, and eating lots of candy!
