Ever wonder how an insurer decides what your claim is valued at? It usually comes down to a handful of factors:

🔹 Medical records documenting the injury and treatment
🔹 How clearly liability points to the other party
🔹 Lost wages and any long-term impact on your ability to work
🔹 Property damage and out-of-pocket costs
🔹 Pain and suffering, which are harder to calculate but still count

Insurers weigh each of these differently, and a thin file on any one of them can significantly lower an offer. That is why documentation from day one matters so much.

Working with an attorney you actually trust changes how the whole process feels. Don Rogers founded this firm after starting his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney, where he built the courtroom experience he now brings to every injury case.

Since founding his practice to Atlanta, he has focused exclusively on helping people and families hurt by someone else's negligence, whether that means a car accident, a fall, or the loss of a loved one. Clients work directly with him throughout their case rather than being passed between staff, which is exactly how he prefers to run things.

If you want a lawyer who will walk you through the process personally, reach out to Rogers Law Group today.

As foot traffic rises this season, so does the risk of a fall. Stores fill up with holiday displays, wet floors from fall weather, and crowded aisles, all of which can create hazards that property owners are legally required to address.

Georgia law requires businesses to regularly inspect their premises and either fix or warn visitors about dangerous conditions within a reasonable time. That could mean mopping up a spill quickly, securing a loose rug, or roping off an area under repair. When a business fails to do that, and someone gets hurt, the owner can be held responsible.

If you are injured this season because a property was not kept safe, document the condition that caused the fall and reach out for guidance on your next steps.

Losing someone suddenly is overwhelming, and understanding your legal options in the middle of that grief should not add to the weight. Under Georgia law, certain family members, typically a surviving spouse, children, or parents, have the right to bring a wrongful death claim when negligence causes a death.

These cases can address the financial support a family has lost, as well as the loss of companionship and guidance that no settlement can ever fully replace. Every case moves at its own pace depending on the facts and whether insurance companies are willing to negotiate, but the process usually starts with an investigation into what happened and who is responsible.

If your family is facing this kind of loss, you do not have to sort through it alone. Reach out to us for answers whenever you are ready.

You should never have to pay out of pocket after someone else's negligence hurts you, and that is the whole idea behind a contingency fee.

There is no upfront cost to hire us, no hourly bill, and no retainer. We only get paid if we recover compensation for you, and our fee is deducted from that recovery.

If there is no settlement or verdict, you owe nothing for our time. It is a structure built so that cost is never the reason someone skips getting help after an accident.

Curious what your case might involve? Call (678) 888-1070 for a free consultation, no obligation attached.

Atlanta summers bring more traffic, more visitors, and more distractions on the road, and that combination raises the odds of a crash.

Rear-end collisions are on the rise as everyone rushes between errands and vacations. Lane merges near construction zones get riskier when drivers are unfamiliar with detours. And pedestrian-heavy events, like the pop-up festivals, mean more foot traffic crossing busy intersections at unexpected times.

None of this means you need to stay off the road. It just means a little extra awareness goes a long way this time of year: leave more following distance, slow down through merge points, and watch for pedestrians stepping out between parked cars.

Stay safe out there this summer, and if you ever need guidance after an accident, reach out to us.

A crash with a commercial truck is not handled like a normal car accident, and treating it that way can cost you. 18-wheelers are subject to federal regulations that regular drivers are not, including hours-of-service limits and cargo loading rules.

When one of those rules gets broken, it often points straight to negligence. Liability can also stretch beyond the driver to the trucking company itself, which usually means larger insurance policies and more parties trying to limit what they pay.

The evidence looks different, too. Trucks often carry black box data recording speed and braking in the moments before impact, along with driver logs and maintenance records. That evidence can disappear quickly: logbooks can go missing, and black box data can be overwritten in as little as 30 days.

If a semi or tractor-trailer was involved in your crash, call us at (678) 888-1070 for a free consultation before that evidence slips away.

Most slip-and-fall victims blame themselves first, and that instinct can cost them valuable evidence. Property owners have a legal duty to keep their space reasonably safe, whether that is a grocery store aisle, a parking lot, or an apartment complex pool deck.

When a hazard like a spill, a broken step, or poor lighting causes a fall, the owner can be held responsible, but only if the right proof exists. That means photos of the exact hazard, the names of any witnesses, and a report filed with the property as soon as possible. Waiting even a day or two can let a store clean up the evidence before anyone documents it.

If this has happened to you or someone you love, do not assume it was just bad luck. Reach out to us about what to do next.
