I heard someone say, “The world is a colder place when you lose your mom”. I could see how that is true but realized even with my mother’s absence my world is warm (and sometimes hot lol) because of the protection of my Grandma.
She is my role model, the GRANDEST of mothers, indeed. Now that I am a mom, I get it. The silent work, sacrifices, fixes that go unseen but always felt. To the practices, competitions, pageants, costume fittings, community service, college, football games, law school, career, marriage, professorship, and motherhood - who would I be without you? Thanking GOD, I would never know. I wish you the happiest birthday! It is my honor to care for you as you have always done for me and now my daughter. True legacy 💜
