Here’s the thing about Oregon: it doesn’t ask you to pick the right season.
Fall brings the kind of foliage that makes New England people feel a little competitive.
Winter on the coast is dramatic and moody in the best way.
Spring is wildflowers and waterfalls and trails that don’t have a line yet.
But summer? Summer is when Oregon really opens up. 🏔️☀️🌲
The coast clears out the fog by late morning and you get those long, golden evenings where it’s 68 degrees and perfect and you can’t believe this place exists. Crater Lake is impossibly blue. The Columbia River Gorge has waterfalls running strong. Bend is sunny and dry and full of good food and cold beer after a long hike. Portland’s farmers markets are at peak everything.
It’s the kind of trip where you stop scrolling, you start actually looking around, and somewhere around day two you quietly Google “what would it cost to spend a whole summer here.”
Oregon has been waiting. It doesn’t mind that it took you this long to notice.
Share this with someone who’s been putting off that Oregon trip and save for later.
