We were pleased to partner with Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity on a recent home closing in the Glenn Bridge community. This newly completed home honors the families of our late partners, Wyatt Stevens and Greg Hutchins, while the lot itself was donated in memory of our late founder, Jack Stevens. We’re proud to support the incredible work of Habitat, which helps to build strong foundations in our community.

Buncombe County Bar hosted its first Law Day event on May 1 at Pack Square Park. This event celebrates the rule of law with local speakers and a ceremony for attorneys to renew their oaths to the United States and North Carolina constitutions. Our very own Susan Russo Klein, President of the Buncombe Bar, presided over the event.

One home currently being constructed by Habitat honors the families of our late partners, Wyatt Stevens and Greg Hutchins. The property for this home was donated in memory of the firm’s late founder, Jack Stevens, through the Adopt-a-Lot sponsorship program, making the build day even more meaningful to our firm. Thanks to an anonymous donation made in honor of our late colleagues, Greg Hutchins and Wyatt Stevens, and a lot generously donated in memory of Jack Stevens, one local resident will soon hold the keys to a brand-new home, built by Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity. Expected to be completed in May 2026, this home reminds us that, together, our community is capable of incredible things, while also reflecting the legacy of compassion that each of these three partners left behind. To the donors and all who make this work possible: Thank you for helping build not just houses for our neighbors, but hope for our community.
