Big change for anyone facing divorce in Virginia. Until now, spouses without a fault basis had to wait six months to a year of separation before they could even file. HB303 changes that: you can now file for a "bed and board" divorce immediately upon separation — no fault grounds, no waiting period — which means the court can step in on custody, support, and finances much earlier.
