The City of Lakewood, CO is approved for a "Common Consumption Area" via the the Belmar Entertainment District. This gives entertainment and retail districts the opportunity to have open containers and let patrons walk about with alcohol. Is this a use that benefits and draws more consumers to restaurants, bars, and retailers increasing more consumer contact? What are the future pros and cons of allowing this use for local communities?
