Our firm is approved by CPS and the State of Texas to build families through adoption at no cost to the adoptive family. We also build families through private adoptions, step-parent adoptions, adoption by relatives and recognition of foreign / international adoptions. We are committed to serving the needs of our clients and protecting children. As a small firm, we provide individualized care to meet your specific legal needs. Kellye Hughes is a former Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney who has been practicing law since 1995. Hughes has tried several hundred termination of parental rights trials and has personally consummated the adoptions of over 700 children. Hughes was the legal facilitator and trainer for attorneys and law students participating in Tarrant County’s National Adoption Day 2006 – 2009 and 2014-2019, facilitating the adoption of over 400 children. Hughes co-authored a “How to…” manual for adoption practice. She has authored and presented at over 30 continuing education seminars on the topics of Family Law, Child Protective Services and terminations and adoptions. Hughes was appointed to the State Bar’s Child Abuse and Neglect Committee and participated as an educational director for the CPS sessions of the Advanced Family Law Courses.
