🏡 TIP TUESDAY | LOOK UP… AND LOOK AT THE WINDOWS!

When you're house hunting, you're probably checking out the floors, countertops, lighting, kitchens, and bathrooms.

But here's something many buyers overlook: the windows.

I showed a property yesterday that had been purchased and “renovated”… and every single window we looked at had some type of issue. 😬

Windows can be a VERY expensive replacement, and cosmetic updates don't mean much if you're going to have major repair costs hiding behind them.

So when you're touring a home, take a minute to:
🔎 Look closely at the window frames
🔎 Check for moisture or damaged seals
🔎 Look for fogging between panes
🔎 Check for signs of rot or deterioration

Pretty countertops are great. New flooring is great. But don't let the pretty stuff distract you from the expensive stuff.

And remember—an inspection is critical, but your own eyes during the showing can help you spot potential red flags before you ever make an offer.

Tip from your Realtor: Look at the windows! They could be one of the most expensive things you're not noticing. 🏡

POV: You come to an open house and accidentally get a front-row seat to lake life. 😂🌊

My colleague Sally Burnette Crye-Leike Realtors brought her middle-school son to help hold 3775 Charles Brown Cv open today… and naturally, he headed straight for the lake. 🎣

He caught an AWARD-WINNING fish… if the award is for tiniest fish ever caught. 😂🐟🏆
