Want That House Wednesday is back! And what better way to get back into things than with a beautiful new construction home in the highly desirable neighborhood of Kent. Immediately upon entry, the detailed herringbone floor is a sign of what’s to come in this well thought out and high quality home. We could talk about the outrageously awesome kitchen, or the master bath which checks all the right boxes for someone looking in this price range….BUT our favorite room is actually in the basement and it’s completely full of wine. Yes, of course we put the photo of the wine cellar last. The only portion of the home that we didn’t get great shots of would be the outdoor living spaces, but we think the pros did a better job anyways so make sure to check them out at the link in our bio because they’re worth seeing.⠀

It’s International Women’s day, so we figured what better time than ever to show some appreciation to our favorite female, Alexis! She has been with Chapman-Bixby for almost a year so this intro post is quite overdue, but very well deserved. For most of our friends, no introduction is necessary since she has already become a part of the tight knit crew around the Arlington office. She has been absolutely crushing it in real estate since joining and it’s no surprise as to why, because she is such a hard worker and is incredibly eager to learn. We love having her on the team and can’t wait to see how her business continues to grow!

We had planned on announcing our first draft pick on a floating stage in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, just like the NFL and their plan to use the Bellagio fountains, but due to COVID-19 we unfortunately had to cancel our extremely real and definitely legitimate plans. The Compass mural in Logan Circle displays a message that has become very relatable over the past 2 months. Lately, most of us have spent more time in our homes than ever before, with nearly unlimited time to reflect on our lives. We must not forget that while the majority of us have had time off, filled with virtual happy hours and countless walks outside, the essential workers who have kept our country running have not been so fortunate.

It is National Nurses Week, and we hope that everyone will take a little bit of that free time we’ve all become accustomed to, and think about how hard our nurses are working around the clock to give us this luxury. They are sacrificing their time at home with their family, to ensure that the health of others is taken care of. Nurses are putting their lives at risk every single day, so that we may continue to enjoy our own.

Think about these selfless acts of compassion during this week dedicated to them, and continue to remember that even when times are good and we get past this virus, they will still be in their scrubs fighting to keep every man, woman, and child alive.

Thank you nurses. We appreciate what you do, and we hope that you get to enjoy some much needed time at home very soon. ❤️

Exactly one year ago we signed with Compass, and what a year it has been. While there is an endless amount of things we could talk about being thankful for, we wanted to shine a light on those who have helped us grow our business and been with us every step of the way through our transition to this amazing brokerage.

From day 1 before we even joined, Peter Gwynn-Sackson was there to show us what Compass was about. We were blown away by what was behind the proverbial curtain, and how much more this company had to offer than we had read about in the news. If it wasn’t for him, we probably wouldn’t be writing this post today.

Next, we need to talk about our man Aaron! His job title was literally “Agent Success Manager” and when we say that he legitimately did everything in his power to help us be successful at Compass, we absolutely mean it. Now we are lucky enough to have the amazing Juliana to continue helping us out whenever we are in need!

It’s probably hard to highlight just how much the marketing queen Sarah does for us in one post, but she truly feels like an extension of our team at this point and we would be lost without her guidance. I’m sure she’s looking forward to another year of meetings with us that never stay on track or ever go according to plan.

Lastly, we have our man Marc who is supposedly our broker, but I’m pretty sure he’s just our permanent office drinking buddy. Whether we need real estate questions answered, or if we need to know where the afterparty is going to be at for every Compass event, he is always there to help!

Thank you so much to everyone who has made our switch to Compass an easy one, and to those who continue to be there for our team. We can’t wait to see what year 2 has in store for us!
