It is with our deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved retired colleague and partner of the firm, Richard S. Bromberg (Rick). Rick dedicated his career to the practice of immigration law since 1980. His solo practice, the Law Office of Richard S. Bromberg, formed the foundation of our law firm. Rick found immense joy in working with and fighting for the immigrant community. While providing stellar legal representation, he had the rare gift of connecting with clients on a personal level. Over the years, he called many of his clients, friends. Rick was a beloved colleague, mentor and partner for those who had the privilege of working with him closely. His sense of humor, sharp wit and immense kindness will always live in our hearts. He leaves behind a legacy of service and dedication, and he will be greatly missed.

Dear family and friends,

Our beloved husband and father Richard Saunders Bromberg passed on February 18, 2025. A funeral service will be held at Temple Rodef Shalom https://www.templerodefshalom.org/, 2100 Westmoreland St. Falls Church, VA 22043 on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 10am. The service will be livestreamed here: https://www.templerodefshalom.org/worship/livestream/ . Interment will be at Garden of Remembrance, Clarksburg, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rick’s memory may be made to the ACLU immigrant rights campaign https://www.aclu.org/issues/immigrants-rights, Just Neighbors https://justneighbors.app.neoncrm.com/np/clients/justneighbors/donation.jsp or the Parkinson’s Foundation. On June 18, 2024, the Biden Administration announced new protections for certain undocumented noncitizens, including spouses of US citizens and Dreamers. We do not know many details about how the program will be implemented and we will keep monitoring and share updates as they become available. We are sharing a flyer from the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) with the current available details.

Position involves considerable client interaction and responsibility for cases, including writing and research. Excellent verbal and analytical skills, attention to detail and teamwork are essential. Strong preference for those with at least six months experience in office administrative work and a demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights. Interest in humanitarian issues, international relations, and immigration policy, as well as the desire and patience to work with the immigrant community are needed. Spanish language fluency required. Strong computer skills.
