Barbara J. Bell, Attorney at Law

Barbara J. Bell, Attorney at Law I specialize in diligent legal representation. I have done many things in my career as a lawyer. I enjoy solving problems and I can help you with your problems.

I was successful in obtaining an order of protection for a client who is blind and unable to get help from the police in evicting a tenant living in his home. I successfully defended a client in small claims court who was sued for $8,000. Under the tutelage of the late Stanley Jakala, a fierce advocate for public safety workers, I became an effective lawyer for police officers and firefighters seeking disability benefits and health insurance provided by PSEBA. My rates are reasonable.

When an employee sues for retaliation after complaining about discrimination, he must prove that he suffered “a materially adverse action” for doing so. Usually, that amounts to discharges, demotions, refusals to hire, refusals to promote, and reprimands.
