Update on Termination of TPS for Haiti | USCIS

ALERT: After reviewing country conditions and consulting with the appropriate U.S. government agencies, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem determined that Haiti no longer meets the conditions for its designation for Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

Haiti TPS alert: the recent announcement indicates that the new secretary of homeland security has partially vacated the notice from last summer that extended and redesignated Haiti for temporary protected status. What this means is that those with TPS (or who are granted TPS before it expires) are only protected through 8/3/25 rather than 2/3/26. If you are eligible to adjust status, please reach out to our office ASAP to assist you with that process.
