As many of you may know, I have handled CPS cases for my entire career. I have represented parents and children. I have always had an issue with the way CPS handles cases, the lack of education, the lack of true understanding of children. As citizens of the State of Texas, I believe we all need to know what is really going on with he agency and act accordingly. Whether it is voting, contacting your state representatives, volunteering to help make the system better, whatever you can do to make sure these children are not further traumatized by a system that is woefully incompetent system is truly needed!

Keep in mind, this case has been in front of the court for years and the department has failed to do anything the judge has ordered them to do until they start getting hefty fines for disobeying court orders. Even then they failed to do any serious overhauling of the system.

Judge Janis Jack took the state to task about the use of drugs and documented instances of errors. The state said it was concerned but disputed whether court has jurisdiction.
