Every year, the SGI Quilters create and raffle off a quilt, with the proceeds benefiting the St. George Island Volunteer Fire Department. This year was another success, as they presented Cheif Timbert with a check for $2600!!!

We thank them, and hope you appreciate their relentless support of the SGI VFD! It is only with the support of the community that we are able to execute our mission of safekeeping the people and property of St George Island and Greater Franklin County.

Weekly Apalachicola City Water Update

Apalachicola city water quality test results continue to meet state and federal drinking water standards.

Progress
Currently, Wells # 5 and 7 are operational and on-line. Well # 6 is operational but not on-line.

At the plant, levels ranged from 1.81 - 3.43 ppm.
At the remote location, levels ranged from 0.27 - 0.34 ppm.

The Franklin Education Foundation is gearing up for its annual education banquet and are seeking local businesses to help sponsor the event.
