BUYERS, don’t be discouraged in the current market!
As you can see in the example below it is all relative….
the buyer today gets the house for $75k less than 6 months ago, hence $7500 (@ 10% down) less needed for down payment (out of pocket cash),
but pays a higher rate, thus increasing the the payment by $137/month.
You can use some of the $7,500 and ($75k savings in sales price) to buy down the current rate and have the same payment as 6 months ago but have a lower mortgage by $67,500!!!
Sounds like a deal to me!!!
