Summary
Michael S. Rosofsky is a relentless litigator who brings over 25 years of high stakes trial experience to your case. He provides a holistic perspective to the representation of our seriously injured personal injury clients. Mr. Rosofsky has represented victims of automobile, motorcycle, truck, aviation accidents, environmental toxic exposure and defective products. While an aggressive advocate in the court room, Mr. Rosofsky is equally aggressive and skilled at winning cases in pretrial “motions practice.” In what is an increasingly lost art today, Mr. Rosofsky is a keen thinker and writer and thereby maximizes case value by utilizing proper discovery and motions techniques prior to ever walking in the courtroom. Mr. Rosofsky’s utilization of advanced and aggressive trial advocacy directly contributed to his co-counsel victory in environmental toxic injuries totaling over a billion dollars.
As a senior trial attorney at one of Maryland’s premier plaintiff’s law firm, Mr. Rosofsky aggressively pursued, as co-first chair, complex high-stakes personal injury cases involving hundreds of clients and obtained jury verdicts exceeding a billion dollars. Previously, Mr. Rosofsky was an owner and partner of a general practice law office that focused on personal injury, criminal defense, and criminal and civil appeals for over 18 years. Mr. Rosofsky is admitted to practice law in Maryland, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Mr. Rosofsky earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics, where he wrestled for the University of Maryland. Mr. Rosofsky graduated from George Washington University law school and was awarded the prestigious Van Vleck medal for Constitutional Law written and oral advocacy.
Mr. Rosofsky served as chair and committee member of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Solo and Small Firm Committee from 2006 through 2013. His reported cases include Housemen v. United States Aviation Underwriters, 171 F.3d 1117 (7th Cir. 1999) and State v. Herd, 125 Md. App. 77 (1999). Mr. Rosofsky successfully spearheaded a 2015 Voluntary Resolution Agreement between the United States Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights and the University of Maryland to prevent ongoing disability discrimination and retaliation against students for engaging in protected disability discrimination reporting activity. Mr. Rosofsky received a Certificate of Recognition from Baltimore County Schools as head wrestling coach of Towson high school’s first Maryland state champion in 2003.
