With the huge success of J.D. White’s Legacy of Giving “Shop with a Cop” Fundraiser last November, the Angleton Police Department is honored to recognize four graduating seniors with $1000 scholarships. Last night Trinity Coleman was awarded this scholarship at Angleton Christian School’s High School Graduation. We were blessed by our gracious contributors, hosts, volunteers, and our community, allowing us to recognize the hard work of these seniors and to wish them well in their future endeavors.

Today, Sgt. Jonathan “J.D.” White was honored at the Brazoria County Fallen Peace Officers Memorial. The memorial service coincides with both National Police Week and National Peace Officers Memorial Day, annual observances recognized since 1962 that pay special tribute to law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Sgt. White’s service, sacrifice, and dedication to his community will never be forgotten. We continue to honor his legacy and stand alongside all the brave men and women who have given their lives while protecting and serving others.

Date: July 31, 2026
Location: Daikin Park - Texas Rangers vs Houston Astros

Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Sgt. J.D. White at the 2nd Annual Shop with a Cop fundraiser. On June 1, 2025, Sgt. White, a dedicated officer and compassionate individual, was tragically killed while serving his community. In his honor, we are coming together to support the children he cared so deeply about.

This heartfelt initiative provides 150 kids with $150 for items they need and cherish for the Christmas season. More than just a shopping trip, it's an opportunity for these young ones to bring joy to their families, pets, and siblings, embodying the spirit of giving that Sgt. White lived by.

Your contribution can bring smiles, hope, and happiness during the holiday season.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to honor a true hero and spread joy in our community.
