Today was a reminder of why I do this work.
After months of advocating, collaborating, and pushing through obstacles with DCS and Court, I am proud to share that we were able to keep a sibling group together by securing placement of a 12-year-old with her 20-year-old brother and 18-year-old sister and the opportunity to be reunified with their 6 year old btother.
Sibling bonds matter. Family matters. Children deserve connection, stability, and the opportunity to grow up knowing they are not alone.
These cases are never easy, and they often require persistence, teamwork, and a willingness to fight for what is truly in the best interests of children. Today, that fight resulted in siblings remaining together instead of being separated by the system.
Moments like this remind me that advocacy is more than legal work — it is protecting relationships, preserving family, and giving children hope during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
Grateful for the opportunity to stand beside families and fight for outcomes that put children first.
