Whether you are walking your little ones to their first day of kindergarten or cheering on your high school senior, here are the key start dates you need to know for the 2026-2027 academic year:

🎒 Anaheim Elementary School District (AESD): Classes begin on Thursday, August 6th!
🎓 Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD): Classes begin on Wednesday, August 12th!

Getting back into the swing of things can feel a little chaotic, so here are a few tried-and-true tips to help your family prepare for a smooth first week back:

⏰ The Sleep Shift: Start rolling back bedtimes and wake-up calls by 15 minutes a day right now. It makes that first early morning alarm much less of a shock!

✏️ Create a "Homework Hub": Set up a dedicated, clutter-free spot in the house with all the supplies they need. A consistent environment helps kids focus and transition into homework mode.

🚗 Test the Commute: School zones are going to be busy! Do a practice run of your drop-off route at the actual time you’ll be leaving to gauge traffic and find the safest drop-off zones.
