Do you know the difference between a will and a trust? Let us break it down. A will is an on-death document. This means it does nothing for you unless you’ve passed away. At that point, your loved ones pull it out the drawer and bring it before the probate court so the judge can appoint your executor who will then get to work on honoring your wishes.

However, a trust is a living document that exists from the moment it is created. You can put all of your assets into a trust or tie them to the trust in some other way and name a successor trustee who can step in and help keep things running smoothly for you should you become incapacitated. 🛡
