The company began more than 50 years ago with Morris Browning, Licensed State Land Surveyor, and followed by Jimmie Nail, Licensed State Land Surveyor, in 1952, followed by Robert E. The surveying and engineering records and files of W. Howren, Licensed State Land Surveyor and Professional Engineer,
were purchased in 1976. Survey records maintained over the years help to give us a vision into the past as we "follow in the footsteps" of the previous surveyors in the reconstruction of surveys. The company was recognized as an excellent surveying organization virtually from its inception, and over the years it has become one of the largest and most respected surveying firms in the Panhandle area of Texas. With the addition of the G.P.S. equipment, Robert Keys and Associates has expanded its service area to include all of the State of Texas serving clients in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, etc. Additionally, RKA (Now, A Centerline Company) now offers engineering services and also serves clients in the State of New Mexico with Surveyor Wendell Stoner having a New Mexico registration.
