This house in the Sunset Terrace neighborhood of Amarillo was halfway through a remodel when the seller got a better job outside of town and needed to move.

That happens more than people think.

Sometimes a seller starts a project with every intention of finishing it, then life, work, timing, or money changes the plan.

Not every house I buy is distressed.

This one was a nice house in the Lawndale area of Amarillo. The sellers weren’t selling because it was falling apart or in terrible condition.

They just wanted a simple deal with a buyer they knew could close.

That’s something a lot of people don’t realize. Sometimes a direct sale makes sense even when the house is in good shape.
