🚨 MAINE SUPREME COURT TAKES UP MAJOR PARENTAL-RIGHTS CASE 🚨

The Maine Supreme Judicial Court is reviewing whether a lower court went too far when it barred a mother from taking her 12-year-old daughter to church or even reading the Bible to her at home.

The case — Bickford v. Bradeen — centers on Emily Bickford, who is fighting a December 2024 custody order that restricts her from bringing her daughter, Ava, to Calvary Chapel in Portland, Maine. The order also bans her from sharing Scripture with her own child.

👉 Emily is being represented by Liberty Counsel, a faith-based legal group challenging the ruling as a blatant violation of parental rights and religious freedom.
👉 According to the case record, Emily and the child’s father, Matthew Bradeen, were never married. Emily has long held primary custody while Bradeen had visitation rights.

Now, Maine’s highest court is deciding whether the judge in the custody case overstepped constitutional limits by placing religious restrictions on a parent.

Critics warn this case could have nationwide consequences for church rights, family courts, and how far government can intrude into the private religious life of American families.

🙏 Many are praying for a ruling that upholds parental authority and First Amendment protections.
