In this video, we talk a bit about police searches and seizures. Most people believe that police can't ever do a search or seize evidence without a warrant. While it is true that the Constitution forbids unreasonable searches or seizures and requires that no warrant shall be issued without a finding of probable cause, there are actually several exceptions to the warrant requirement.
Things like plain view, giving consent to a search, hot pursuit or other exigent circumstances allow the police to conduct a search or seizure even if they don't have a warrant.
