Back from the Pennsylvania Bar Association Conference of County Bar Leaders in State College. This year’s theme focused on America’s 250th anniversary and what we can learn about leadership from our country’s founding.

There were strong discussions about keeping local bar associations engaged, relevant, and connected to the communities we serve. I always value bringing back ideas we can actually use.

I was glad to attend with past president Nancy Conrad representing the Bar Association of Lehigh County, and proud to accept a Community Service Award on BALC’s behalf. That recognition reflects the commitment of our members who give their time to the community.

Some of you have already heard, but I’m pleased to share that I’ve joined Scherline Injury Law and am handling personal injury matters with the firm.

I remain active in my other roles. It’s a full plate, but that has never really been an issue for me.

I started my career representing individuals in Social Security disability cases, advocating for people whose medical conditions had upended their lives. In many ways, this feels familiar. Helping someone navigate a complicated system after they’ve been hurt and fighting to secure what they’re entitled to is work I’m comfortable doing.

I’ve built my career in the courtroom. This just adds another lane, and I like where it's going.

On Presidents’ Day, we honor those who have led our country , and we’re reminded that leadership doesn’t begin on a national stage.

It begins in courtrooms, city halls, boardrooms, and community organizations. It begins with people willing to put service ahead of ego and responsibility ahead of recognition.

That kind of leadership shapes communities long before it makes headlines.

This cold weather has me wishing I was back in Puerto Rico two weeks ago.

Representing the Bar Association of Lehigh County at the 2026 Pennsylvania Bar Association Midyear Meeting alongside fellow BALC members — two of whom are past presidents — meant strong leadership sessions, productive conversations, and significantly better temperatures.

Always good to bring ideas back to Lehigh County.

Had a great weekend at the Bar Association of Lehigh County Bench Bar Conference at the The Hotel Hershey in Hershey, PA! It was wonderful to connect with colleagues, share in CLEs, and enjoy time with friends in the profession.
