Today, I was able to get a judicial diversion on a .18% DUI with accident. I also won the DMV hearing two months ago. THIS DOUBLE WIN MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!!! NO DUI CONVICTION NO LICENSE SUSPENSION for a mom of two kids who’s about to go back into the work force now that her kids are school age. This will make a huge difference for her!!

Felony case dismissed and DUI dismissed. It took over a year to get this final resolution of a single plea to a wet reckless, with all other charges dismissed. The initial offer was 2 years prison. Patience pays dividends because my client got ZERO jail time and all original counts dismissed. The wet reckless carries just one year summary probation. I’m so happy for this client and their outcome! 🙂

This was from one of my first DUI cases that was dismissed and the DMV hearing was won. Client recently contacted me to ask if there’s anything else I could do for him/her, which there was. Since s/he never was convicted, s/he was eligible to have his arrest record sealed and destroyed.

Did you know that you could possibly have three records when you have a criminal case?
1) an arrest record when you are arrested/booked/cited
2) a charge record when you are charged with a crime in court (first date of arraignment)
3) a conviction record if you are convicted in court.

If you are never convicted, you qualify to seal and destroy your record. Otherwise, you may only qualify for an expungement of your conviction record. Sealing not only removes the charging, but also the arrest record.
