ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE â SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2025
Alexandriaâs Biggest Holiday Weekend is this Saturday with the 54th Annual Scottish Christmas Walk Parade in the morning and the 25th Annual Alexandria Holiday Boat Parade of Lights in the evening. Significant road closures, no-parking zones, and traffic pattern changes will be in effect throughout Old Town.
Scottish Walk Parade (11 a.m. â 1 p.m.)
⢠Step-off: S. St. Asaph St. & Wolfe St.
⢠Conclusion: Market Square (King & Royal St.)
⢠No-parking and road closures will begin early along the assembly area and parade route.
Boat Parade of Lights (Dockside Festivities 2â8 p.m.)
⢠Parade passes the waterfront from approximately 5:30â6:30 p.m.

Traffic Impacts
Beginning 3 p.m.:
⢠Union St. (DukeâQueen): One-way northbound traffic
⢠King St. (Unitâ300): Pedestrian-only zone
⢠Lee St. (DukeâQueen): Local traffic only; King & Lee fully closed
⢠Prince St. (100 block): Local traffic only
Additional Closures
⢠Reviewing stand area: 3:30 a.m.â3 p.m.
⢠Assembly area (Wilkes, Wolfe, S. Pitt, S. Royal, S. St. Asaph): 5 a.m.â2 p.m.
⢠Parade route street closures: 7 a.m.â2 p.m.
