Tamara Couture was sworn into the State of Bar of New Mexico 18 years ago today. She started her business 4 months before that as Couture Solutions. Since she had finished law school, but was still waiting to take the bar and get sworn in, she started the business as a contract Law Clerk, helping other attorneys and doing hard core networking so that when she got her license, she could open her law office immediately, which she did, passing the bar her first time taking it. She thought it would take a long time to build up enough business to fill the day, so she planned to spend part of every day writing the Great American Novel. She was wrong. She has been busy since day one. By year three she hired her first attorney associate. She was an official law firm owner by the time she was 33.

Couture Law is looking to fill the position of File Clerk. This is a part time position, typically 20 hours a week. Schedule is very flexible. Couture Law's hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
• Sorting office documents alphabetically and according to content, dates, significance etc.
• Answering phones and scheduling consultations
• Create and update new files
• Enter paperwork into an electronic system either by data entry or by using optical scanners
• Monitor inventory of files, paper clips etc. and report shortages
• Purge old files
• Light cleaning

Small law firm officer manager needed immediately. Compensation DOE but between $18 and $20/hour. Free health, vision, dental. 401k. Must have calm but firm temperament. Most people are fine, but divorce doesn’t bring out the best in people sometimes. You will interacting with the courts, clients, other attorneys and staff, lots of scheduling. Preparing court documents. We can train. Most people don’t have experience in this area and we know that, but must be able to catch on quick. Very nice work environment downtown and great coworkers and boss. We plan to hire someone immediately so they can put in their notice with their current employer
