Founded as Conway & Levy in 1977 by the Honorable Susan M. Conway and husband Robert D. Levy, the firm began with hope, elbow grease, and a little bit of levity. The firm’s first typewriter was the electric typewriter used by Robert when he was in college. The firm’s starting date of April 1st was chosen in part for its convenience and in part because of the partners’ shared sense of humor. In its forty-four years of existence, a recitation of April Fool’s Day as the firm’s opening date has always been met with a smile.
Over the years, the firm changed locations and names as it expanded. María García Geer and Kathryn Wissel joined the firm in 1978 and 1986, respectively. The firm now includes associate attorneys, Andrea L. Romero and Dana K. Grubesic. Despite the changes, the firm’s values remained constant –a dedication to serving our community and a commitment to assisting families through conflict and transition.
Since its inception, Geer Wissel & Levy, P.A. has handled a variety of civil matters (including adoption, personal injury, wills, estates, and civil rights cases) with a primary focus on family law and domestic relations.
