September: 80° and gaslighting you into thinking it’s still summer 😎
October: the honest one. 65°, gold everywhere, first freeze around the 10th 🍂
November: 49° and getting weird about it 🤪
December: 39°, fog, and a personal vendetta 🥹

AND Nobody warns you about the inversion. 🌫️

December in the Valley averages 32°, but that number hides the real thing: cold air sinks and just sits here.

A week of gray at 28° on the valley floor while the foothills are sunny and 45°. Drive up Bogus Basin Road and you’ll pop out of it like surfacing from a lake.

💧🚽 Meridian water & sewer bills could be going up this fall

Here’s what you need to know 👇

📊 City staff are proposing a 4.2% combined increase in sewer & water rates
💰 That’s about +$2.71/month for the average resident
📬 Notices will go out on August & September bills
🗞️ It’ll also be published in the newspaper later this month
🗓️ Public hearing: September 8 at 6pm
✅ If approved, new rates start October 1

🔍 The breakdown:
* Water base rate: +9%
* Water usage rate: +5%
* Sewer base rate: +4%
* Sewer usage rate: +3%

📉 Even with this increase, Meridian still has the lowest water/sewer bills in the Treasure Valley — currently $65.24/month vs. the valley average of $101.12

🛠️ City officials say the increase is needed to stay financially solvent long-term, fund future infrastructure, and meet upcoming water quality regulations

🤝 Meridian also has a low-income assistance program for water/sewer bills through El-Ada Community Action Partnership — about 100 residents currently use it
