✨ Throwback Thursday | The Beauty of Timeless Architecture ✨

What if I told you this isn’t the entrance to a grand theater or a five-star hotel? It’s the elevator lobby inside Detroit’s legendary Guardian Building, where even the journey between floors was designed to leave a lasting impression.

Completed in 1929, this iconic Art Deco masterpiece, designed by architect Wirt C. Rowland, showcases the elegance and craftsmanship of a remarkable era. Every detail, from the vibrant Rookwood tile and rich Numidian marble to the warm travertine and intricate Monel metalwork, was intentionally chosen to create an unforgettable experience.

Originally built as the Union Trust Building, it became known as Detroit’s “Cathedral of Finance,” a lasting symbol of innovation, luxury, and architectural excellence. Nearly a century later, it continues to inspire architects, interior designers, and real estate professionals around the world.
