We get a lot of calls from people using AI to create a will or estate planning documents and then wanting an attorney to review them.

We get it. AI can be a great tool.

But estate planning isn't just about creating documents. It's about making sure those documents actually work for your family and your goals.

Missing guardianship provisions, a trust that isn't funded correctly, or a plan that doesn't account for Massachusetts law can create problems that aren't obvious until it's too late.

And when your family is facing an emergency or crisis, AI won't be there to guide them. AI doesn't know your family or what matters most to you.

Want to know what you really need to protect your family, your assets, and yourself? Let's talk.

From Bucket to Big Milestones 🎓

Something incredibly special has been happening around the office lately. We’ve had a wave of clients calling to let us know that their kids are graduating and turning 18!

The most amazing part? We vividly remember these same "kids" sleeping on our conference table in their little baby bucket 18 years ago while their parents were planning for their futures. Now, they are stepping into adulthood and need their own incapacity documents set up.

Time flies, but protecting the people you love never goes out of style.

How We Help:

For our existing clients: If your child is turning 18 and you haven't set up their legal protections yet, we’d love to see you (and them!) again.

For new families: If you have a young adult hitting this milestone and want to ensure they are legally protected, we would love to meet you.

MEET OUR ATTORNEYS:

David Feakes:
David Feakes is the founder and owner of The Parents Estate Planning Law Firm, PC. Seeking ways to connect and build long-term relationships with his clients, David started the firm in 1998 when his oldest daughter (now in her mid-20s) was just a baby.
David and his wife, Paula (who joined the firm in 2008), wanted to connect with young parents to help them breathe easy, knowing that if they created the right plan, there would be no doubt about who would care for their children. With this goal in mind, David joined the Family Wealth Planning Institute, where he learned everything he could about estate planning for young families.
David works with his clients to guide them as they preserve and protect their assets, loved ones, and legacies; their stories, guidance, and advice – the intangible assets that are often forgotten in typical estate planning. We believe that building an inclusive future starts with the conversations we have at home. Diverse stories help children develop empathy, understand the beautiful variety of families in our communities, and embrace who they are.

In celebration of Pride Month, we wanted to share a curated list of wonderful LGBTQ+ books for young readers for your kids! These stories highlight love, family, identity, and kindness in powerful ways.

We encourage our clients, colleagues, and community members to look for these titles at independent, local businesses. Supporting local bookstores like keeps our communities vibrant and ensures that diverse voices continue to be represented on our shelves.

What are your family’s favorite inclusive reads?
