# You have a choice not to be corrupt. There is a saying in Uganda that is not universally adopted by every Ugandan that says that when you go to a place where they eat dogs, you join in the dog eating or starve to death. Many Ugandans subscribe to this misguided philosophy which assumes that in dog eating country there are no other delicacies that you can enjoy and not starve. You should work hard and accumulate your wealth without stealing from anyone.

Fighting corruption in Uganda is not a futile exercise but a required national priority
