INFORMATION

Greatings to you all Comrades on this platform.

I would like to give an official report as per
THE ERA PAWAKAPO APPLICATION TRAINING AT GOLFCOURSE HOTEL IN KAMPALA..

~ The training was started on Mon - 25th To 29th - Oct - 2021.
It was fully organised & funded by ERA.

~ EWAU was represented by a group four delegates namely:-

1- Owomugisha Daphine
2- Nsibirwa George
3- Lutaaya Charles
4- Nkashama Martin

Objective/Aims

▪︎Aimed at involving Pawakapo's ( Electricians) in the development of the new online notification of completion certificate which is going to replace the booklets that we have been getting from the eight utility/power distribution companies across the country.

▪︎Secondly, also to give test training to how the application will be working after it's completion.

FEATURES

- It has the PAWAKAPO APP and the CLIENTS APP.
Both the CLIENTS and the ELECTRICIANS will be able to download it from the website to there desktop or phone.

- The CLIENT's App will be of single use if the client doesn't require any more new installation or repair.

- All PAWAKAPO's / Electricians must have this application and it's will be the only way of generating the wiring certificates to all complete installations.

- The certificate generated by the system is going to be working on all utility/distribution companies unlike the former one were each company could sell it's own booklet.

- This time the certificate will be generated & supervised by ERA through the PAWAKAPO APP unlike before when each utility companies took responsibility.

- A customer using the clients app will be able to request for a Pawakapo to do his/her installation and through the system, it will be able to send notifications of any available request.

REMARKS

Since all has become digitalised, we encourage all Electricians to have smart phones since it will be a must have for all wirepersons.

We also encourage everyone on this platform to spread the information to all permit holders and other practicing Electricians to Join this platform because we are going to be passing all updates and new developments here.

Conclusively

To all EWAU members,
The Association with it's Associates has already drafted plans of giving brand new Smartphones to all willing members on installments.
Those who want the phones will be receiving updates here.

Lastly, all members are informed that try to formalise your members through EWAU district Coordinators because it was confirmed that ERA is going to help wirepersons only through the Association.
Remember the new Pawakapo app needs one to carryout tests which need testing tools and they can't provide them to everyone but maybe through Associations.

Thanks
