PT prepares educators to implement appropriate positive discipline strategies to manage student behavior, encourage participation of all children without discrimination regardless of gender, ethnicity, language, culture, religion or learning ability, ensure that the environment of the classroom promotes learning, use clear expectations, predictable procedures, and daily routines, use appropriate techniques for instruction ,use questions that promote inquiry and critical thinking, have knowledge of child development and different learning styles, incorporate examples from local environment and students experience, uses a range of formative and summative assessment tools to frequently check for understanding, record and use learning outcomes to monitor and direct students’ progress towards meeting lesson/curricula objectives, and use this to address the needs of students and inform teaching practices that promote socio-economic transformation.

FAMILY LAWS TRAINING
As a matter of combating lawlessness and domestic violence in society, REDRC organizes and provides trainings on family and marriage laws to the appropriate beneficiaries to equip them with knowledge about legal rights regarding marriage, property sharing, care for children etc. This helps to combat family violence in families hence promote human capital development for economic transformation. The beneficiaries include; Civil Society Organizations, CBOs, and families to support the rights of women and children, and special interest groups.

COMMUNITY PARALEGALS & LEGAL RIGHTS (CPLR)
Community Paralegals also known as grass root legal advocates provide a bridge between law and real life. REDRC shall through this program equip the community members with the knowledge of the legal aspects; Family Laws, Labor Laws, civil Procedures, criminal law, evidence law, contracts and agreements, civil wrongs(torts), intellectual property, mediations etc., Our beneficiaries will benefit the following; acquire the awareness of the law, acquire knowledge on legal procedures/process, understanding of the levels of authority and navigate institutions, skills of mediating disputes, organizing collective action, advocacy, fact finding, investigations and monitoring skills. The target groups are; the poor who cannot afford the requirements for litigation procedures, the drug abusers who take law in their hands, the youth and families. The major objective of this program is to promote justice and combat lawlessness in communities which promotes social transformation and hence economic development. This will contribute to vision 289, 322, and 326 of Uganda's Vision 2040 and goal 371 of NDP III (Vision 2030).

EARLY GRADE READING TRAINING (EGRT)
EGR Training underscores the need for policy makers and educators to put in place Early Grade Reading Practices that provide a firm foundation for further learning of Literacy. The current approaches to literacy pay little attention to literacy at an early stage. REDRC transfers knowledge and skills to early grade reading educators who come up with different and better methodologies that emphasize the use of Jolly Phonics and other relevant language aspects. Literacy is a foundation for all the learning but to our dismay most educators pay little attention to these skills; reading, writing, and comprehension and claim to be teaching. REDRC comes with a holistic approach to literacy that is based on the principle of perceiving meaningful wholes, utilizing the child’s environment and experiences, integration across the curriculum with emphasis on all literacy skills.
