I'm failing to find the right words to write about this loss! Overwhelming sadness for the children left without their parents.

Their dad was abducted in 2019 and is nowhere to be seen. This month, their mum was found dead in the bathroom. Sorry for the pain they have been dealt with. Be kind. -DMW

During the state funeral of the former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga today at Nyayo Stadium in Kenya, President Ruto spoke in unusually personal terms, describing how Odinga "stood beside me, this time to steady the nation and help anchor my leadership, culminating in the birth of a broad-based government."

Ruto, admitted that Kenya's democracy and his own presidency might not have survived the Gen Z protests that gripped the nation last year without the intervention of his long-time rival, Odinga.

Moral lesson: To appreciate or care for those who cared for us is one of the highest honors. Go lucky, Odinga. -DMW

A while back, the International Criminal Court opened its war crimes case against fugitive rebel leader Joseph Kony in Hague, Switzerland.

It’s the court’s first-ever confirmation of charges hearing without the accused present. It could also serve as a test case for future prosecutions of high-profile suspects who currently appear to be beyond its reach.

So, let it be a lesson to people who are committing crimes against humanity. Lest the sun will rise and we'll jubilate. -DMW
