We are fundraising EUR 5M. Will u help us?
I’ve been thinking twice a day for 12 fu #$ing days how good we are. We did such a useful thing. But also about a hundred times a day I was thinking that we can’t keep up, that I do something wrong, or that I could have done more.
We at the Dead Lawyers Society made two fundraising campaigns. One was impromptu. During one day, we collected UAH 350K (around EUR 10K) for medicines and food for doctors and warriors. The second was UAH 1.2 mn (around 38K EUR) for ammunition.
We bought water, delivered medicines, collected tourniquets, gave tourniquets, bought thermal imagers, organized a taxi service, started to hate all the sellers of body armors in the world, yet have not received Nova Poshta delivery with thermal imagers, bought five tons of blankets, chipped in with a Kharkiv citizen and bought a Lada Niva. A Niva!
Now, the Axon Partner’s office looks like a warehouse and my messengers look like traffic jams on the way from peaceful Kyiv to the sea coast of Odesa every Friday before the war.
In other words, it’s some fu%$ extreme Agile project management. And it’s very exhausting.
However, every news about shelling, every death, another lavrov’s bu****it (or rather horsesh*t) about what else Ukraine has to do, all of that fills me with anger. I wake up in the morning from soothing shots of air defense and hope that today I will finally be as useful as possible.
I know that all of you are exhausted as well. That’s why we will not give up. And, with all due respect, we are going to fu*k them up.
The team of the Dead Lawyer’s Society launches another fundraising, an ambitious one. We are planning to collect not less than EUR 5 mn.
What we are collecting for:
Everyone needs body armor and helmets. We’ve tried, but we can’t organize body armor and helmets purchases. There is too much competition among buyers. That is why we are focused on the things we can do: (1) optics, (2) medicines, and (3) some other useful things.
“-But we’ve already donated”:
Yes, we know and appreciate that. We are equally grateful for EUR 1 contributions, as well as for EUR 10K.
However, money is needed. For military and border guards, for territorial defense, and hospitals. Now, we are spending UAH 74-100K (2,5-3K EUR) a day for such things.
Let me tell you where I will look for money this time. I will look for them among my fellow lawyers abroad. Many people wrote me "Dima, hang on!", so I will try to turn this wish into a donation now.

- We have an NGO Dead Lawyers Society in Ukraine and
- there is a friendly charity fund of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America Georgia Branch in the USA (friendly, because one of our editors is a member of its Board).
