GOD'S 300 SPARTANS

In 480 BC, the Persians led by King Xerxes, launched a second invasion of Greece. The vast Persian army of approximately 360,000 soldiers came to the narrow mountain pass at Thermopylae. It was here that 300 Spartans, led by King Leonidas, held off and decimated the Persian army. For two days, the Spartan soldiers fought until they all perished. 800 years earlier, Gideon led 300 brave troops against 120,000 Midianites. Except the Israelites won this battle.
The story of Gideon will be the message tomorrow morning as we continue our “Cover to Cover” series Seeing Jesus in all of the Bible.
