Recent Amendments to the Turkish Civil Code and Other Laws

📌 Transparency in Name Change Announcements:
With the amendment to Article 27 of the Turkish Civil Code, court-approved name changes will now be recorded in the civil registry and announced on the official portal of the Press Advertisement Agency. This change aims to make the process more transparent.

📌 A New Era in Divorce Cases:
According to the amendment to Article 166 of the Turkish Civil Code, if a divorce case is dismissed and the spouses do not reconcile for one year, the marriage will be considered irreparably broken, and a divorce may be granted upon the request of one of the parties.

🖇 Amendments Beyond the Turkish Civil Code:
In addition to these updates in the Turkish Civil Code, amendments have also been made to other laws. 📄 Details on these changes are attached to this post.
