According to information available to us, a document was signed on June 2 that provides for the reopening of a number of districts that had previously been closed to foreign nationals applying for residence permits (ikamet).

However, as of now, the official instructions have not yet been communicated to local immigration offices, and the full list of districts and the procedures for implementing the new rules have not yet been published.
