The latest major changes regarding laws have been introduced through the Act Amending the Criminal Code (No. 30), B.E. 2568 (2025). This Act was published in the Royal Gazette and has officially come into force since December 30, 2025, onwards.
Check these (Sections 284/1 - 284/2):
👄 : Using suggestive language, criticizing body proportions, or asking unnecessary sexual questions that cause shame or humiliation.
👀 : Leering stares, catcalling, making kissing sounds, or gestures with sexual connotations.
📱 (Cyber Harassment): Sending obscene messages, pornographic images, or leaving sexualized comments via computer systems or electronic devices.
🤝 : Touching or hugging without consent (if it does not yet constitute "Indecent Assault").
👔 : A supervisor, employer, or anyone in a position of authority pressuring a subordinate for sexual reasons.
What are the ?
General Harassment: Imprisonment up to 1 year or a fine up to 20,000 Baht.
Repeated/Continuous Acts: If it prevents the victim from living a normal life, imprisonment up to 2 years or a fine up to 40,000 Baht.
Public or Online Acts: Imprisonment up to 3 years or a fine up to 60,000 Baht.
Against Children (Under 15): Imprisonment up to 5 years or a fine up to 100,000 Baht.
Abuse of Power by Superiors: Imprisonment up to 3 years or a fine up to 60,000 Baht.
