Thai immigration offices will be closed on several dates this April due to public holidays and the Songkran festival.

Closures are scheduled for:
• April 4–6, 2026 for Chakri Memorial Day and the substitution holiday
• April 11–15, 2026 for Songkran (Thai New Year)

Immigration offices will remain closed throughout these periods, so anyone needing visa extensions, 90-day reporting, or other services is advised to plan ahead and avoid last-minute visits.

With Songkran being one of the busiest travel periods of the year, delays and queues are also likely before and after the holidays.

If you have any deadlines falling around these dates, it’s best to get things sorted early.

Why More International Students Are Choosing Thailand in 2026

Thailand isn't the most obvious study destination, but for the right student, it makes a lot of sense.

Cost of living is low compared to Western countries, and English-taught programs at universities like Mahidol, Chulalongkorn, and MUIC have expanded significantly in recent years - covering business, health sciences, hospitality, and more.

Geographically, Bangkok sits at the center of Southeast Asia, making it a practical base for students who want regional exposure alongside their degree. The Non-Immigrant ED visa process is also well-established and relatively simple when enrolled at an accredited institution.

It may not top global rankings, but for students who value affordability, location, and quality of life, Thailand is a serious option worth considering.

If you have any questions or are interested in studying in Thailand, feel free to DM us - we're happy to help.

One missing document can get your Thai visa rejected - even if everything else is perfect.
It happens every single day at immigration offices across Thailand.

Here's what most people forget:
- Bank statement printed more than 7 days ago -> REJECTED
- No TM.30 receipt from your landlord -> REJECTED
- Missing bank letter (separate from your statement) -> REJECTED
- Wrong photo size (must be 4x6 cm) -> REJECTED
- Retirement visa only: no embassy income letter when your bank balance doesn't meet the required threshold -> REJECTED

And the worst part?
If your current visa expires while you're fixing the problem - even by ONE day - you're officially overstaying. That means fines starting at 500 THB/day, and possible blacklisting.
Immigration officers don't make exceptions. They follow a checklist. If your file is incomplete, it's rejected.

Before your next application:
-Double check every document on the list
-Confirm requirements with your specific immigration office - they vary by location
-Start collecting documents at least 2 weeks early

Not sure if your documents are ready? That's exactly what we're here for.
At Thai Nexus Visa Hub, we review every document before submission so your application is complete the first time - no surprises, no wasted trips.

Thai Visas Getting Stricter in 2026? 🇹🇭
Here's what's really happening...

The Problem:
Thailand is cracking down on "visa runs" - people who keep leaving and re-entering on tourist exemptions to live here long-term without proper visas.

What's New:
-Land border entries limited to ~2 times per year
-Digital tracking system (TDAC) monitors entry patterns
-Immigration officers watching for repeated entries
-Possible reduction from 60 to 30 days (not confirmed yet)

If You're a Tourist: Relax! Coming for vacation? Nothing changes. The 60-day visa exemption is still here.

Living in Thailand Long-Term? Get the right visa:
-Retirement Visa - Age 50+, meet financial requirements
-Marriage Visa - Married to a Thai national
-DTV (Digital Nomad) - For remote workers
-LTR Visa - For professionals & high net worth individuals

Visa applications can be confusing. We provide expert consultation to help you choose and apply for the right visa for your situation.

Tourist visas are easier for vacations.

You can't afford ongoing costs
Tuition plus 1,900 baht extensions every 60-90 days add up.

...

Perfect for committed students, but comes with strict rules. Consider your goals and finances carefully. If you're dedicated to learning, this visa opens doors to an amazing Thailand experience.

Marriage Visa Rejected?
5 Overlooked Reasons You Need to Know

Many people assume that being married automatically guarantees visa approval, but the reality is... thousands get rejected every year for reasons that could have been prevented.

5 Common Mistakes and How to Fix Them:

1. Unclear Financial Documentation
Having money in your account isn't enough - you must show the "source" of funds. Include pay slips, employment contracts, or business income records covering at least 6 months.

2. Insufficient Proof of Genuine Relationship
A few couple photos won't cut it. You need: chat history, money transfer receipts, photos with both families, evidence of trips taken together, and joint financial commitments.

3. Inconsistent Information Across Documents
If your application states you work somewhere but your evidence doesn't match - instant rejection. Every detail must align perfectly.

4. No Clear Future Plans
Immigration officers need to know where you'll live, how you'll support yourselves, and what your long-term plans are. Prepare concrete answers with evidence.

5. Missing or Expired Documents
Translated documents must be officially certified, marriage certificates must be legally recognized, passports must have sufficient validity remaining.

Getting a marriage visa isn't difficult when you know what to prepare. Don't let preventable mistakes separate you from your spouse. We can help ensure your application is complete and ready for approval.
