Thai Visa situation as of September 20th, 2023

~Most of the Thai Embassy require a letter from Thailand’s authority that certifies the applicant’s position and responsibility at the foundation. It has to be issued by a department-level government authority in Thailand. Meaning the Social Department or the district office must issue this document to attached with the invitation letter. The authority in many provinces especially in the south are able to issue. However, the authorities in Chiang Mai are not able to issue such document.
~As for now the only Thai Embassy that approve the visa without the mentioned letter is in Penang, Malaysia. They approve for both applicant and the dependents.
~For the USA, both the US embassy and Consulate is no longer issue the affidavit for any reasons. Therefore, it is not applicable for those who need to verified their marriage or family members as well as their residency or status. They may need to contact the Thai Embassy in their country to certify their family document.
