🏆 A Historic Win for Thammasat Law!
Congratulations to our Thammasat University team on becoming Champion of the Asia Cup 2026—International Law Moot Court Competition in Tokyo, Japan—marking the first-ever championship for a Thai team in the competition 🏆.
We are especially proud that all team members are students of the Thammasat International LL.B. Program, representing the program on the international stage with excellence. 🇹🇭🌏

🏆🇹🇭 ประวัติศาสตร์หน้าใหม่ของทีมไทย — Thammasat University คว้าแชมป์ Asia Cup 2026
นักศึกษาคณะนิติศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ในฐานะตัวแทนประเทศไทย เข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน Asia Cup 2026 – International Law Moot Court Competition ณ กรุงโตเกียว ประเทศญี่ปุ่น และสามารถคว้ารางวัลชนะเลิศ (Champion) มาครองได้สำเร็จ นับเป็นครั้งแรกที่ทีมจากประเทศไทยคว้ารางวัลชนะเลิศในการแข่งขันรายการนี้
นอกจากรางวัลชนะเลิศแล้ว ทีมธรรมศาสตร์ยังได้รับรางวัลสำคัญ ได้แก่
🥇 Best Memorial Award — รางวัลชนะเลิศด้านการเขียนคำคู่ความฝ่าย Applicant
📝 อันดับ 5 Counter-Memorial — ฝ่าย Respondent
รวมถึงรางวัลด้านการแถลงคดีระดับบุคคล โดยนักศึกษาคณะนิติศาสตร์ ธรรมศาสตร์ (หลักสูตรนานาชาติ) 3 คนติดอันดับ Top 10 Oralists ของการแข่งขัน ได้แก่

⚖️ นางสาวนภัค เพ็ญนุกูล — อันดับ 8 Applicant Oralist

พร้อมด้วย ⚖️ นางสาวณัฐพรรณพร ธรนันท์กุลวุฒิ สมาชิกสำคัญอีกคนหนึ่งของทีมชุดประวัติศาสตร์นี้
Asia Cup เป็นการแข่งขันว่าความจำลองด้านกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศระดับเอเชีย จัดร่วมกันโดย กระทรวงการต่างประเทศญี่ปุ่น (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan) และ Japanese Society of International Law ในปีนี้มีทีมจากมหาวิทยาลัยทั่วเอเชียส่งคำคู่ความเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันมากกว่า 80 ทีม ก่อนคัดเลือกเหลือเพียง 16 ทีมจาก 15 ประเทศ เพื่อเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันในรอบ Oral Rounds ณ ประเทศญี่ปุ่น
มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันรายการนี้มาอย่างต่อเนื่อง และเคยได้รับรางวัลทั้งด้านการเขียนคำคู่ความและการแถลงคดีมาแล้วหลายครั้ง โดยในปี 2017 ทีมธรรมศาสตร์เคยผ่านเข้าสู่รอบชิงชนะเลิศและได้รับรางวัลรองชนะเลิศ หลังแข่งขันกับ National University of Singapore
ในปี 2026 ทีมธรรมศาสตร์สามารถก้าวไปได้อีกขั้น และสร้างประวัติศาสตร์ด้วยการคว้ารางวัลชนะเลิศ ให้แก่ประเทศไทยได้สำเร็จ 🇹🇭🏆
รอบชิงชนะเลิศในปีนี้ยังนับเป็นประสบการณ์อันทรงคุณค่าสำหรับนักศึกษา โดยได้แถลงคดีต่อหน้าคณะกรรมการซึ่งประกอบด้วยนักกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศระดับโลก อาทิ Judge Sarah H. Cleveland ผู้พิพากษาศาลยุติธรรมระหว่างประเทศ (International Court of Justice: ICJ) และ Professor Philippa Webb KC, Professor of Public International Law, University of Oxford
ขอขอบคุณ อาจารย์ ดร. ภัทรพงษ์ แสงไกร ผู้ฝึกสอนหลักและร่วมเดินทางไปกับทีมในการแข่งขันครั้งนี้ รวมถึง ผศ. ฐิติรัตน์ ทิพย์สัมฤทธิ์กุล และ ผศ. ดร.อำนาจ ตั้งคีรีพิมาน ตลอดจนศิษย์เก่าทุกท่านที่สละเวลาให้คำแนะนำ ช่วยอ่านและปรับปรุงคำคู่ความ รวมทั้งร่วมฝึกซ้อมกับนักศึกษาอย่างเข้มข้น ซึ่งล้วนมีส่วนสำคัญต่อความสำเร็จครั้งประวัติศาสตร์นี้
ท้ายที่สุด ขอแสดงความยินดีกับนักศึกษาทั้ง 4 คน สำหรับความมุ่งมั่น ความทุ่มเท และความพยายามตลอดเส้นทางการแข่งขัน
ความสำเร็จครั้งนี้มิใช่เพียงการนำถ้วยรางวัลกลับสู่มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์เท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นการสร้าง หมุดหมายสำคัญครั้งใหม่ให้แก่ประเทศไทยบนเวทีการแข่งขันกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศระดับเอเชีย

🏆🇹🇭 A Historic Milestone for Team Thailand — Thammasat University Wins Asia Cup 2026
Students from the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, representing Thailand, participated in the Asia Cup 2026 –
International Law Moot Court Competition in Tokyo, Japan, and successfully brought home the Championship title. This marks the first time a team from Thailand has won the competition.
In addition to the overall championship, the Thammasat team also received:
🥇 Best Memorial Award — 1st Place, Applicant Memorial
📝 5th Place Counter-Memorial — Respondent
The team also achieved outstanding results in the individual oralist rankings, with Thammasat International LL.B. students placing among the Top 10 Oralists:
⚖️ Ms.Phakamon Thaisman — 3rd Place Respondent Oralist
⚖️ Ms.Napak Pennukul — 8th Place Applicant Oralist
⚖️ Mr.Sathin Gupta — 10th Place Respondent Oralist
Together with ⚖️ Ms.Natphannaporn Thoranankulwut, another key member of this historic team.
The Asia Cup is a regional international law moot court competition jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Japanese Society of International Law. This year, more than 80 university teams from across Asia submitted memorials, from which only 16 teams representing 15 countries were selected to compete in the Oral Rounds in Japan.
Thammasat University has participated in the competition for many years and has received awards for both written submissions and oral advocacy on numerous occasions. In 2017, the Thammasat team advanced to the final and finished as Runner-up after competing against the National University of Singapore.
Nine years later, in 2026, Thammasat went one step further and made history by securing the Championship for Thailand. 🇹🇭🏆
The final round was also an invaluable experience for our students, who had the opportunity to plead before a distinguished panel of internationally renowned jurists, including Judge Sarah H. Cleveland, Judge of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), and Professor Philippa Webb KC, Professor of Public International Law at the University of Oxford.
Our sincere appreciation goes to Dr. Phattharaphong Saengkrai, the team’s principal coach, who also accompanied the students to the competition, as well as Asst. Prof. Thitirat Thipsamritkul and Asst. Prof. Dr. Amnart Tangkiriphimarn, together with our alumni, who generously devoted their time to advising the team, reviewing and refining the memorials, and conducting intensive oral practice sessions. Their support played an important role in making this historic achievement possible.
Finally, congratulations to all four students for their determination, dedication, and hard work throughout the competition.
This achievement is not only about bringing the championship trophy back to Thammasat University; it also marks a significant new milestone for Thailand on the Asian stage of international law moot court competition.
