The Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, and the University of Melbourne have officially signed an Addendum to the Inbound Dual Degree Agreement. This agreement aims to expand educational opportunities and provide additional study pathways for students, beyond the existing 3+1 program, as follows:

1. JD Pathway Program: Students complete 3 years of the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) program at Thammasat and proceed to study the Juris Doctor (JD) program at Melbourne for an additional 3 years.
2. Dual Degree LL.M. Program: A dual master's degree program to receive 2 master's degrees from both institutions.
3. Single Subject Study: An opportunity to study individual subjects online with Melbourne to earn credits and enhance future study prospects with Melbourne.

On 29 January 2026, 🔸 Associate Professor Dr. Supreeya Kaewla-iad, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, and 🔸 Assistant Professor Dr. Amnart Tangkiriphimarn, Associate Dean for International Programs and International Affairs, welcomed a delegation from the University of Essex, United Kingdom. The delegation included 🔸 Mr. Simon Foster, Global Associate Vice President, 🔸 Ms. Samantha Look, Regional Director, and 🔸 Mr. Amorndech Cholpilaiponk, Recruitment and Development Manager.
On this occasion, both institutions signed a Progression Agreement to expand educational opportunities through the following programs:
(1) 3+1 Program: Students study at the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University (LL.B.) for 3 years and continue their studies at the University of Essex (LL.M.) for 1 year to receive degrees from both institutions.
(2) 3+2 Program: Students study at the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University (LL.B.) for 3 years and continue their studies at the University of Essex (LL.B.) for another 2 years to receive degrees from both institutions.
The initial target group for these programs is students in the International Program. Expansion to include students in the Regular Program (Thai Program) is currently under consideration. Further details on the application process will be announced shortly.

What happens when an arbitrator refuses to participate or resigns without justification? Explore the legal tension between "Party Autonomy" and "Procedural Efficiency" in international arbitration, led by Nattakit Hongchoo (TU Law PCA Hanoi Fellow 2024-2025).

TU Law LL.B. students who have completed a minimum of 3 years of study are eligible to enroll in a one-year LL.M. program. Applicants will benefit from a discounted tuition fee rate through our partner university agreements. In addition, credits earned during the LL.M. program may be transferred back to Thammasat to fulfill LL.B. graduation requirement.

คณนิติศาสตร์ มธ. ขอเชิญชวนนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี คณะนิติศาสตร์ มธ. (ชั้นปีที่ 3 ขึ้นไป) สมัครเข้าศึกษาต่อระดับปริญญาโท (LL.M.) ณ มหาวิทยาลัยคู่สัญญาในต่างประเทศ โดยจะได้รับส่วนลดค่าธรรมเนียมการศึกษาเป็นกรณีพิเศษ และสามารถโอนหน่วยกิตจากการศึกษาระดับปริญญาโทกลับมาเพื่อสำเร็จการศึกษาตามหลักสูตรปริญญาตรีได้
