Hundreds of ID cards, including National Certificates, Driver’s Licenses, and other identification documents, left behind at Dahabshiil Money Transfer offices in Juba by customers who came to send or receive money.

Special Court Update:

The hearing of the treason case involving suspended First Vice President Riek Machar and seven other SPLM-IO members resumes today.

During Friday’s session, the court heard statements from the final four accused, including Machar himself. Judges also accepted four key prosecution documents — the order authorizing the trial, the Justice Ministry’s directive establishing the investigation and prosecution committee, Machar’s arrest sanction, and the parliamentary resolution lifting the immunity of MP Gatwich Lam Pout.

The prosecution is expected to present additional evidence as the trial continues under restricted media access.
